| New Data Management and Sharing Requirements |
| The NIH has released a new Data Management and Sharing policy, effective January 25, 2023, which requires submission of a Data Management and Sharing Plan with funding proposals and establishes expectations for sharing scientific data. Many other research funders have implemented similar requirements for broad sharing of scientific (or research) data to increase the impact and accelerate the pace of scientific discovery. Researchers should plan now for the roll out of these requirements and develop Data Management and Sharing plans that meet sponsor expectations. The Sheridan Libraries and Welch Medical Library, with input from many stakeholders, have created resources to support researchers in planning for data sharing. . |
