Brown Bag: NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy
The NIH has released a new Data Management and Sharing policy, effective January 25, 2023, which requires submission of a Data Management and Sharing Plan with funding proposals and establishes expectations for sharing scientific data. Researchers should plan now for the roll out of these requirements and develop Data Management and Sharing plans that meet sponsor expectations. This session will provide details regarding the applicability of the new policy, principles to consider in determining what and how to share, selection of a data repository, and budgeting for sharing costs.
